HIOWC Force Priorities
The force priorities provide long-term organisational direction for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary.
Relentless Disruption of Crime
Identify, target and disrupt those responsible for crime and harm; prevent offending; investigate offences effectively; and bring offenders to justice.
Visible Policing
Maintain an accessible, recognisable police presence, respond effectively to community concerns and make local policing visible through neighbourhood and response activity.
Putting Victims First
Provide a professional, compassionate and effective service to victims, safeguard vulnerable people and pursue the best possible outcomes.
Delivering Quality Policing
Delivering Quality Policing is the commitment running through all three priorities: lawful decision making, professional standards, good investigations, effective communication, reliable records and a consistent service to the public.
Operational and local priorities beneath these force-wide priorities are based on HIOWC evidence, threat, risk, harm, demand and community information. They are not imported from real-world Hampshire crime statistics or public opinion as though those were evidence about United Hampshire.
