Local policing is delivered through five Local Policing Areas and their districts. Force-wide investigation, intelligence, criminal justice, Joint Operations, professional standards and corporate services support local teams and provide specialist capability where it is needed.
The Chief Constable has direction and control of the force. Operational policing decisions are not made by the United Hampshire Interior Office or by the National Police Service merely because those bodies perform different policing functions elsewhere in the Realm.
